109 Terrorists Killed, 81 Arrested in One Week – Defence HQ

 

The Defence Headquarters has announced a significant victory in the fight against terrorism, reporting that troops have killed 109 terrorists and arrested 81 suspects in just one week.

According to the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Buba Edward, the military has remained committed to its campaign against insurgents and their collaborators across the country.

Here are the key highlights of the military’s operations:

  •  Counter-Terrorism Operations: Troops neutralized 109 terrorists, arrested 81 suspects, and rescued 43 kidnapped hostages.
  •  Operation Hadin Kai: Troops neutralized 64 terrorists, arrested 28 suspects, and rescued 14 kidnapped victims.
  •  Operation FANSAN YAMMA: The air component conducted an air interdiction at Alawa Forest in Niger State, eliminating several terrorists and destroying their structures and logistics.
  •  Niger Delta Operations: Troops apprehended six individuals involved in oil theft and prevented the theft of crude oil valued at ₦618,756,470.

Maj. Gen. Buba Edward urged citizens to remain vigilant and supportive of security agencies, emphasizing the military’s commitment to safeguarding the nation.
