A commercial bus and a private car were involved in a devastating accident on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos on Thursday, but fortunately, all 14 commuters on board escaped with their lives.

According to a statement by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the accident occurred at the Iyana-Oworonshoki area of the bridge when the commercial bus rammed into the private car. The cause of the accident was attributed to excessive speeding by the commercial driver, which led to a loss of control and the eventual collision.
