The Adamawa State Government has made significant strides in protecting human dignity and promoting social justice. Recently, the government disclosed that it has successfully prosecuted 68 criminal cases, with 207 still pending in various courts.

To achieve this, Governor Ahmadu Fintri’s administration has enacted 68 laws from 2019 to 2024, including:

  • Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Law: Tackles gender-based violence and provides support for victims.
  • Child Protection Law: Safeguards children from abuse, exploitation, and neglect.

These laws demonstrate the state government’s commitment to protecting vulnerable populations and promoting social justice.

Additionally, the establishment of Small Claims Courts in each senatorial district has facilitated swift commercial dispute resolutions, with an average resolution time of 60 days. This reform has boosted economic confidence and created a favorable business environment in Adamawa.
