A devastating attack by bandits has left a trail of death and destruction in Kaduna State, with seven people killed and many others abducted.
The bandits launched a brutal assault on Kallah Afogo Community in Kajuru Local Government Area, killing six people and taking several others captive.
The victims of the Kallah attack have been identified as Garkuwa Alfarma, Buhari Maidiga, Uba Auta, Yakubu Thomas Gaku, Atabata Naallah, and a local who pursued the bandits into the bush and was killed and mutilated.
In a separate attack, the bandits struck at Bakin Pah in Maro Ward, killing one person and abducting six others. The attacks have left the communities in a state of fear and uncertainty.
A local resident, Maigari Ben, has called on security agencies to step up efforts to protect the communities and ensure the safe return of those abducted. The Kaduna State Police Command has yet to comment on the incident.
