Building Collapse Traps University of Benin Students in Edo State

 

A devastating building collapse occurred in Ekosodin, Edo State, on Saturday morning, trapping several University of Benin students. The incident happened on Ekhator Street in Benin, the state capital, during an early morning downpour.

 

Rescue efforts are underway, with the university team and State Fire Service working together to save those trapped. Some students have been rescued, while others remain missing.

 

The building, located in a student-populated area near the university, is believed to have collapsed due to the heavy rain. The exact cause of the collapse and the number of affected individuals have yet to be confirmed by the university management.
