Customs Seize N71.7m Smuggled Goods in Adamawa, Taraba

The Nigeria Customs Service, Adamawa/Taraba Area Command, has intercepted smuggled items valued at N71.7 million between August and September.

 

Seized Items:

  •  33,595 litres of petroleum products (intended for smuggling into Cameroon)
  •  3 vehicles used by smugglers
  •  200 bags of foreign flour and rice
  • 10 bales of second-hand clothing

 

Customs Comptroller’s Statement:

“We will not relent in this fight against illegal trade until we bring smuggling activities to ground zero in Adamawa and Taraba states,” said Mr. Garba Bashir.
