DSTV CREW ATTACKED, JOURNALIST KILLED WHILE TRAVELING TO COVER AFCON MATCH

 

 

A devastating incident occurred when kidnappers attacked a DSTV sports crew en route to cover an African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier match in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

According to Anambra State Police Command’s SP Tochukwu Ikenga, “Joint security forces successfully rescued six members of the media crew… Operations continue for the possible rescue of the seventh crew member.”

 

Colin Udoh, a prominent journalist and former SuperSport staff, tweeted, “A journalist, my former colleague, was killed… Some crew have been freed, while at least 2 others are still unaccounted for.”
