The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 105 individuals, including four Chinese nationals, for alleged internet fraud in Abuja. The suspects, comprising 67 males and 38 females, were apprehended in a business apartment in the Gudu axis of Abuja on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

They were allegedly involved in a hotel review job scam targeting victims and hotels in Europe and other parts of the world. The EFCC stated that the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigations.

This arrest is part of the EFCC’s ongoing efforts to combat internet fraud and corruption in Nigeria. Last month, the commission arrested 792 suspects, including 148 Chinese trainers, for their alleged involvement in cryptocurrency investment fraud and romance scams in Lagos State.
