FG Launches Probe into Nigeria Correctional Service Amid Bobrisky Scandal

 

Abuja, Nigeria – The Federal Government has inaugurated a 6-member probe panel to investigate allegations of corruption and misconduct within the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), sparked by the Bobrisky scandal.

 

 

MINISTER OF INTERIOR DEMANDS TRANSPARENCY

“We want to reform the correctional service,” declared Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, as he inaugurated the panel. “Your core responsibility is to investigate specific allegations of corruption, torture, and mistreatment of inmates.”

 

 

BOBRISKY AT THE CENTER OF CONTROVERSY

Convicted crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, has been at the center of allegations involving NCoS personnel providing alternative accommodation.

 

 

PANEL’S OBJECTIVES

– Investigate corruption, torture, and mistreatment allegations

– Identify systemic issues contributing to violations

– Recommend concrete actions for reform

 

 

CHAIRPERSON DR. MAGDALENE AJANI ASSURES THOROUGH PROBE

“We will do our best to deliver on the mandate,” Dr. Ajani promised.

 

The probe panel’s report is expected within two weeks, as the FG vows to sanitize the NCoS and ensure accountability.
