Fire Outbreak at Federal Ministry of Works Headquarters Contained

 

A minor fire incident occurred at the Federal Ministry of Works headquarters in Abuja on Friday, causing no injuries or casualties.

 

Cause of the Fire

The incident, confirmed by Director of Press and Public Relations Mohammed A. Ahmed, was attributed to a spark from a faulty circuit breaker in the electrical control room on the ground floor of Block A.

 

Quick Response

The Federal Fire Service team, led by Station Commander Kekai Bekebi, swiftly responded and contained the fire using fire extinguishers. Staff were safely evacuated, and no documents were lost.

 

Response and Aftermath

Aliyu Abdullahi, Director of Human Resource Management, commended staff for their conduct during the incident. Maintenance staff have begun cleaning up debris, and normal activities have resumed.
