Floods Unleash Menace of Wild Animals in Maiduguri, Borno State

A devastating flood has ravaged parts of Maiduguri, Borno State, causing crocodiles, snakes, and other dangerous animals to invade the affected areas.

The flood, which submerged several homes and buildings, including parts of the University of Maiduguri and its Teaching Hospital, has forced thousands of people to flee their homes.

The affected areas include the Post Office, Monday Market, and Shehu Kyarimi Park (Zoo), where the wild animals have taken over. The state government has issued a high alert and closed down schools due to the severity of the flood.

The collapse of the Alau Dam has exacerbated the situation, leaving thousands of residents stranded and seeking urgent government assistance.

The disaster has occurred at a time when the state governor and his deputy are away, leaving the Police Public Relations Officer to urge the public to remain vigilant as the authorities work to safeguard lives and property.
