Gas Explosion Rocks Katsina, Damages Six Vehicles

 

A devastating gas explosion occurred at a filling station in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, damaging six vehicles. Fortunately, no lives were lost in the incident. The explosion happened when gas cylinders being transported by a truck ignited at the Tamal filling station along Kagadama-Magamar Jibia road.

The police and military responded promptly, deploying measures to protect lives and minimize property damage. They were able to quench the fire, but six motor vehicles were significantly affected. The Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the explosion.

This incident comes just a month after a fuel tanker explosion in Majiya, Jigawa State, which killed 182 people and injured 78 others. The Nigerian government has been working to improve safety measures and prevent such incidents in the future.
