A gospel singer, Timilehin Ajayi, has been arrested in Nasarawa State for allegedly killing and dismembering his 24-year-old girlfriend, Salome Enejo, a National Youth Service Corps member. The suspect was caught by churchgoers with a polybag containing Enejo’s severed head during a church service on Sunday.
According to the church’s Bible Study Teacher, Caleb Umaru, Ajayi was noticed acting suspiciously near a river, and when confronted, he threw the bag into the river. The bag was later retrieved and found to contain Enejo’s severed head.
The Nasarawa State Police Command spokesperson, Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the incident, stating that Ajayi confessed to the crime during interrogation. Further investigation revealed the rest of Enejo’s dismembered body in Ajayi’s apartment.
Ajayi, who is also a motivational speaker on TikTok, claimed he killed Enejo in self-defense after she tried to stab him during a fight. However, the police are still investigating the matter.
