Tragedy struck on Sunday as gunmen abducted four students in Katsina State, Nigeria. The incident occurred at Paris Quarters, behind the Federal University Dutsinma, at approximately 2:20 am.
The victims, identified as Wali Kayode (25), Fahad Muhammad (20), Emmanuel (surname unknown), and another unidentified person, were taken by the armed bandits. Security operatives were quickly mobilized to the scene but were unable to apprehend the kidnappers.
Efforts are currently underway to track down the kidnappers and rescue the students safely. This incident is the latest in a series of kidnappings targeting students in Nigeria.
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has condemned the incessant kidnapping of students, urging the Federal Government to take decisive action to ensure the safe release of the abducted students and to prevent future incidents.
