Gunmen Attack Plateau Mining Site, Kill 4 Youths

 

Four young men were tragically killed and five others injured when gunmen attacked a mining site in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria, on Friday night.

 

According to Sabastine Magit, President of the Butura Youth Movement, the assailants, speaking the Fulani dialect, opened fire on the victims around 9 pm without provocation.

1. Bwefuk Musa (21)

2. Klingshak Dickson (21)

3. Promise Joshua (20)

4. Nyam Abaka (20)

 

Attack Part of Larger Pattern:

This incident marks the latest in a series of unprovoked attacks on the community, with over 20 members killed in the last month alone, attributed to identified Fulani assailants.

 

Community Demands Justice:

The Butura Youth Movement has called for swift action from authorities to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice.

 

Authorities Yet to Comment:

Efforts to reach the Plateau State Command spokesperson, Alabo Alfred, and the Military Taskforce spokesperson, Major Samson Zhakom, were unsuccessful.
