Gunmen Kill Edo Assembly Speaker’s Aide, Samson Omoarebokhae

 

Samson Omoarebokhae, a senior special assistant to the Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, was killed by gunmen on August 31.

According to the Speaker’s media aide, Ivy Adodo-Ebojele, Omoarebokhae was attacked while traveling from Ozalla to Uhumora in Owan West Local Government.

 

The Speaker has sent a condolence message to the family and dispatched a delegation, led by Chief of Staff Odion Iruobe, to offer support. Iruobe described Omoarebokhae’s death as a significant loss to the Assembly, the PDP, and the people of Owan West.

 

The Speaker has assured the family that he will do everything possible to ensure the perpetrators are arrested and brought to justice. The family has expressed appreciation for the Speaker’s support during this difficult time.

 

The incident is a tragic reminder of the ongoing security challenges in the region, and authorities are urged to take swift action to address the situation and prevent further loss of life.
