The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry has not yet commenced. Despite rumors, the board assured candidates that details of the registration process will be announced in due course.
To prepare for the upcoming examination, JAMB advised prospective candidates to secure their National Identification Number (NIN) and a unique phone number. Candidates can get their NIN ahead and a phone number that has not been previously used to register on the JAMB platform to generate their profile code prior to the registration time.
Additionally, JAMB has introduced a new English novel, The Lekki Headmaster by Kabir Alabi Garba, as the recommended reading text for the 2025 UTME Use of English paper. Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the text to enhance their preparation.
Although some sources suggest that the UTME registration start date is Wednesday, January 15, 2025, JAMB has not confirmed this. Candidates are advised to stay updated via JAMB’s official platforms for the latest information on the registration timeline and guidelines.
