Former President Goodluck Jonathan has been honored with the traditional title of Eze Udo 1 of Nigeria (King of Peace) by the Etche Traditional Rulers Council in Rivers State.
This title was conferred upon him during the 10th anniversary celebration of HRH Dr. Ken. O. Nwala, the King of Etche Kingdom.
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, who also received a traditional title, expressed his gratitude to Jonathan for his support during challenging times. Fubara praised Jonathan’s humility and simplicity, acknowledging his strong ties to the Etche people.
Jonathan’s background is marked by his rise from a Christian Ijaw family of canoe makers in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, to becoming the President of Nigeria from 2010 to 2015.
