The Kaduna State Police Command has made significant strides in combating crime in the region, arresting six kidnappers, a cattle rustler, and five vandalism suspects through Operation Fushin Kada.
Recent Arrests:
- Kidnapping Syndicate: Four members were apprehended in Rahama Village and Dutsen Wai Village on November 12. The suspects, Yahaya Abdullahi, Shamsu Ibrahim, Linus Obasi, and Hauwa Mohammed, were involved in a kidnapping case where a ₦3 million ransom was paid.
- Terrorizing Gang: Two members, Surajo Hassan and Abdulhadir Usman, were arrested in Ikara LGA on November 6. They confessed to multiple kidnappings and robberies, including a case where a victim was held for 60 days and an ₦8 million ransom was paid.
- Cattle Rustler: Audu Abdullahi, 27, was arrested in Kujama on November 13. He confessed to being part of a syndicate operating with AK-47 rifles and other weapons. A locally made firearm and charms were recovered.
- Vandalism: Three suspects, Salisu Mohammed, Mohammed Abubakar, and Aliyu Isah, were arrested at the Trade Fair Complex for vandalizing armored cable wires. They named Abubakar Garba and Isiaku Abdullahi as receivers, who were also arrested.
Additionally, the police have also detained two cattle rustlers, two notorious gunrunners, and three kidnapper suspects in separate operations. These arrests demonstrate the effectiveness of Operation Fushin Kada in combating crime in Kaduna State.
