Kano Police Arrest 17 Suspected Thugs Over Planned Violent Protest

 

The Kano State Police Command has arrested 17 suspected thugs over an alleged plot to instigate a violent protest in the state capital. The suspects were arrested on Wednesday following credible intelligence reports, according to a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna.

 

The police warned against unlawful gatherings, processions, or any acts capable of disrupting public peace, vowing to respond decisively to any attempts to incite violence. They also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.

 

The arrests were made in collaboration with other security agencies, which had deployed personnel and assets to strategic locations across Kano metropolis to prevent a breakdown of law and order.

An investigation is ongoing, and the command is committed to ensuring that the perpetrators of this planned violence are brought to justice.
