Kano Police Arrest 3 Suspects with N129.5 Billion in Counterfeit Currencies

 

The Kano State Police Command has announced the arrest of three suspects in possession of counterfeit currencies valued at N129.5 billion. The recovery includes:

 

1. $3,366,000

2. CFA51,970,000

3. N1,443,000

 

Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Garba Dogo, confirmed the arrest and recovery, stating that the police will not condone such criminality.

 

Additionally, the command reported:

1. 62 suspects arrested for various major crimes over two weeks

2. Recoveries made, showcasing continued efforts to combat crime in Kano State

 

A separate incident involved a rivalry clash in the Rimi, Kofar Mata, and Yakasai areas, resulting in two deaths. Police have deployed officers to restore normalcy and apprehend perpetrators.
