The Kano State Government conducted an inspection of the Tiga Dam to address safety concerns following the recent flood disaster in Borno State.
Commissioner for Water Resources Ali Makoda led the inspection team, comprising experts from relevant ministries.
“We’re here to assess the dam’s condition and ensure everything is in good order,” Makoda explained.
The inspection aimed to alleviate public worries sparked by the Alo Dam incident.
Fortunately, experts found no cause for alarm, confirming the dam’s integrity.
“This inspection is part of our proactive measures to prevent potential flooding disasters,” Makoda assured.
The team will continue assessing other key dams in the state, including:
– Bagwai Dam
– Challawa Dam
