A 38-year-old man and his friend have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly conspiring to sexually defile and impregnate the man’s 14-year-old stepdaughter.
According to the police spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the mother of the survivor reported the case at the Okokomaiko Police Division on Friday. The case was subsequently transferred to the Gender Unit, Ikeja, for further investigation.
The survivor, now nine months pregnant, was allegedly defiled by her stepfather and his friend in the Okokomaiko area of Lagos. The police have confirmed that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
This incident highlights the need for increased vigilance and protection for vulnerable children, particularly those in vulnerable home environments. The Lagos State Police Command has demonstrated its commitment to addressing such cases and ensuring that perpetrators face justice.
