The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Ujunwa Una and Chinelo Igbechionwu for allegedly selling newborn twins.
Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest, stating that the suspects were apprehended at Berger bus-stop on September 9.
The suspects were found with two six-day-old baby girls and confessed to receiving ₦150,000 to transport the babies from Abia State to Lagos.

According to Hundeyin, the mother sold the babies due to her inability to provide proper care.
The case has been transferred to the Gender Unit, and the newborns are in the custody of a motherless babies home.
An investigation is ongoing to arrest other conspirators, and the suspects were arraigned on Thursday.
