LASTMA Rescues Five from Accident on Third Mainland Bridge

 

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) rescued five individuals with varying degrees of injury following an accident on the Third Mainland Bridge on Tuesday.

Key Details:

1. Accident Location: The accident occurred near the University of Lagos Waterfront, heading towards the Adeniji area.
2. Vehicles Involved: A commercial bus and a Toyota Highlander were involved in the accident.
3. Injuries and Fatalities: Five individuals were rescued with injuries, and no lives were lost.
4. Traffic Disruption: The accident caused a brief disruption in traffic flow, but the affected vehicles were later cleared from the scene.

LASTMA’s General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, urged motorists to drive cautiously, adhere to speed limits, and ensure their vehicles are properly checked before setting out.
