Nigerian Army Rescues 13 Kidnapped Students, Neutralizes Insurgents in Kaduna Forest Raid

 

In a recent operation, Nigerian Army troops raided a terrorist stronghold in Kaduna, rescuing 13 kidnapped students and others, while neutralizing some insurgents and capturing others alive. The troops also seized a significant cache of arms and ammunition.

The operation, launched on September 12, 2024, was based on reliable intelligence and involved an intense firefight at Chigbolu village, Kachia Local Government Area. The rescued victims, comprising six males and seven females, were evacuated to 1 Division Medical Services and Hospital for medical attention.

Additionally, troops intercepted two notorious terrorist logistics suppliers, Mallam Usman Waikili and Salisu Idris, at Kagarko village, confiscating cash, SIM cards, mobile phones, and other items. A separate operation in Suleja, Niger State, resulted in the neutralization of three terrorists and the capture of three others, leading to the recovery of arms and ammunition.

The Nigerian Army has commended the troops and urged them to sustain the tempo of the offensives across all theatres, marking a significant victory in the ongoing fight for peace and security.
