Nigerian Woman Abayomi Whint Makes History as Judge in New York Civil Court

 

Abayomi Whint, a Nigerian woman based in the United States, has made history by becoming a judge in the Kings County New York Civil Court. She was sworn in on January 23, 2025, after being elected as one of eight judges in Brooklyn during the November 2024 elections.
