Nigerians Make History in Global Politics

Four Nigerian citizens have achieved remarkable success in international politics, securing elected positions in the United States and Australia.

 

Breaking Barriers

  •  Dr. Oye Owolewa, re-elected as Shadow Representative for Washington, DC, under the Democratic Party.
  •  Segun Adeyina, retained his seat as State Representative for District 110 in Georgia.
  •  Adeyemi Mobolade, elected Mayor of Colorado Springs, becoming the first Black person to hold the position.
  •  Chiaka Barry, elected to the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly.

These individuals have shattered records, paving the way for future generations. Nigeria in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) Chairman/CEO, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, congratulated them on their victories.
