The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Ebonyi State has suspended its strike action in four out of seven local government areas (LGAs) due to positive responses from local authorities. The affected LGAs where the strike has been suspended are:
- Edda
- Ebonyi
- Ishielu
- Ezza North
However, the strike will continue in three LGAs – Ivo, Ezza South, and Ohaukwu – due to non-compliance with the Union’s demands.¹ The NUT appreciated the cooperation of local government chairmen who complied with their demands, ensuring better education for children, especially in less privileged communities.
