The Ondo State Police Command has made some significant arrests, including a suspect, Temidayo Fadahunsi, who was found with 228 Android phones and multiple foreign SIM cards at his residence in Akure. The police had received a report of phone theft in the area, leading to Fadahunsi’s arrest. He’s currently under investigation and will be charged to court once the inquiry is concluded.
In addition to Fadahunsi’s arrest, the police also apprehended several suspected kidnappers who were on their wanted list. These suspects, including Aminu, Abdullahi Abubakar, Yusuf Saidu, Nafiu Ibrahim, Mohammed Anas, Kabiru Mohammed, Yusuf Suleiman, and Ishaku Abdul, were arrested for their involvement in various abduction cases across the state.
The police commissioner, Mr. Wilfred Afolabi, confirmed that all the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations. This development is a significant step in addressing the rising cases of kidnapping and phone theft in Ondo State.
