Pedestrian Bridge Collapses in Lagos, Nigeria

A partial collapse of the Five-Star pedestrian bridge on Oshodi-Apapa Expressway caused chaos yesterday morning, but fortunately, no fatalities were reported.

Ongoing operations focus on completely clearing the road of concrete debris.

 

LASEMA Statement:

“Preliminary investigations revealed that an articulated truck carrying heavy equipment collided with the bridge, causing cracks and subsequent collapse.”
