Peter Obi Condemns Rising Insecurity in Nigeria, Calls for Immediate Action

Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State, has spoken out about the rising insecurity in Nigeria, condemning recent attacks in Benue and Anambra States. He described the situation as “saddening and heartbreaking” and expressed concern about the impact of insecurity on businesses and the economy.

Obi specifically mentioned the killing of about 30 people in separate terrorist attacks on communities in two local government areas of Benue State, and the attack on a motorcycle showroom owned by Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing in Nnewi, Anambra State, where three staff members were kidnapped.

He emphasized the need for immediate action to combat insecurity, stating that the country cannot continue to allow the mindless waste of human lives and attacks on businesses and critical infrastructure. Obi also urged security agents to intensify efforts to rescue the kidnapped workers.
