The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old man, Taiwo Yemitan, in possession of a fresh human head and dismembered body parts of a female victim in Lafenwa area of Abeokuta.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, the suspect was arrested at 1:40 a.m. on Sunday in his residence behind Atinsola Petrol Station, Sanni, in Abeokuta.

1. Confession: The suspect admitted to knowing the deceased, identified as Darasimi, whom he lured to his residence with the intent to kill her.
2. Accomplices: Yemitan named two other individuals, Kehinde Yemitan and Kazeem, as accomplices in the crime.

3. Motive: The suspect’s intention was to sell the victim’s head and other body parts.
4. Investigation: The police have taken the dismembered body to the morgue at General Hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta, for post-mortem examination.
5. Warning: The police warned young ladies to be cautious of “hookup” arrangements and advised parents to educate their daughters on the dangers of such practices.
The suspect will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation.
