Police Hunt Woman After Officer’s Mysterious Death in Ogun Hotel

A manhunt has been launched by the Ondo State Police Command for an unidentified woman after Inspector Haruna Mohammed, an officer serving with the Ishashi Division of the Lagos State Police Command, was found dead in a hotel at Anthony Uzum Estate, Oyeyemi Akute, Ogun State.

Inspector Mohammed had checked into the hotel with the unknown woman around 1:00 am on Saturday. A few hours later, his lifeless body was discovered in the room under mysterious circumstances. The police have classified his death as “unnatural.”

The hotel manager found the door to the room unlocked at 8:52 am, and upon checking inside, discovered the officer’s body. The fleeing woman had visited the reception around 6:00 am to request a bottle of tap water before disappearing.

Identifying the deceased was initially challenging, as only a uniform was found in his bag. However, further investigation revealed that the deceased was an inspector of police serving with the Ishashi Division in the Lagos Command.

A similar incident occurred in late January when Inspector Lawal Ibrahim from the Kwali Division in the FCT was found dead at Palasa Guest Inn in Gwagwalada after allegedly engaging in a sexual encounter with a woman he had met online.
