The Nigeria Police Force has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring public safety and security as Christmas approaches. Following the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, police operatives across various state commands have been conducting intensive patrols and raids.
Key Highlights
1. Arrests and Recoveries: 128 hoodlums arrested, and various exhibits recovered, including weapons and fetish items.
2. Raids on Criminal Hideouts: Operatives targeted hideouts in Lagos, Kaduna, Zamfara, Taraba, Edo, Delta, Benue and Niger.
3. Proactive Measures: Police intensified efforts to deter crime and protect lives and property.
4. Call for Vigilance: Public urged to report suspicious activities to authorities.
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that operatives from the Lagos State Police Command conducted raids on criminal hideouts in the Isolo area, apprehending 43 suspects and recovering various exhibits. Additionally, police operatives arrested one Charles Orji for attempting to steal a Toyota Hilux, recovering seven different Toyota car keys from him.
The Nigeria Police Force assures citizens that it will continue its mission to deter crime and protect lives and property during the holiday season.
