The Kaduna State Police Command has announced the neutralization of a suspected armed robber and the detention of six others, including a notorious kidnapper.
According to ASP Mansir Hassan, the command’s spokesperson, the Operation Fushi Kada operatives intercepted a notorious armed robbery syndicate along the Karji/Sabon Tasha axis, leading to a fierce gun battle.
One suspect, Christopher Bobai, was neutralized, while five others were detained. The suspects, who confessed to the crime, are Gideon Martins, Joy Gideon, Joshua Gama, Umar Usman, and Bashir Yusuf. Exhibits recovered include firearms, ammunition, and military uniforms.
In a separate operation, police operatives apprehended a suspected kidnapper, Saidu Inusa, also known as “Haske,” and recovered an AK-47 rifle.
The Commissioner of Police, Ali Dabigi, emphasized the importance of community involvement in ensuring public safety and assured citizens that the police command will maintain its efforts to clamp down on armed robbers and bandits in the state.
