POLICE RECOVER STOLEN TOYOTA HIACE IN BAUCHI

 

The Plateau State Police Command has recovered a stolen Toyota Hiace vehicle in Bauchi State, just three days after it was reported missing.

The command’s spokesman, Alabo Alfred, confirmed that the vehicle was recovered on September 18, 2024, at about 0045 hours, in the possession of one Kabiru Mohammed, a resident of Sabon Gari Narabi Toro LGA in Bauchi State.

Mohammed was arrested by operatives attached to the Bukuru Division, who executed stop and search operations in the area following the report of the missing vehicle on September 16, 2024.

According to the police, Mohammed is currently in custody and providing useful information to aid further investigations.

“The suspect will be charged to court for prosecution upon conclusion of our investigation,” Alfred said.

Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, commended the operatives for their swift action and reassured the public of his commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and properties in the state.

He urged the public to provide timely and accurate information to support police operations.
