The Plateau State Police Command has successfully rescued four children allegedly trafficked by suspects who lured them with biscuits.
Child Trafficking Case
On October 11, 2024, police received a distress report about the missing children. Swift action led to the rescue of the children and arrest of two suspects.
Additional Arrests
In separate operations, 25 suspects were apprehended for various offenses, including:
1. Emmanuel Joseph: Robbery and possession of a fabricated pistol.
2. Ateh Anthony Idoko and Daniel Idoko: Leaders of a cybercrime ring involving 11 suspects, abducting secondary school graduates and forcing them into internet fraud.
Police Commissioner’s Statement
Olugbenga Adesina praised public assistance and urged continued collaboration for a safer Plateau State. “When you see something, say something,” he emphasized.
Investigation and Prosecution
All suspects will be charged in court once investigations are concluded.
