President Bola Tinubu has sworn in seven new ministers to join his cabinet, following their confirmation by the Senate.
New Ministerial Appointments:
1. Nentawe Yilwatda – Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction
2. Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi – Labour and Employment
3. Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu – Foreign Affairs (State)
4. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata – Housing and Urban Development (State)
5. Idi Mukhtar Maiha – Livestock Development
6. Jumoke Oduwole – Industry, Trade and Investment
7. Suwaiba Said Ahmad – Education (State)
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Council Chambers in Abuja, marking the beginning of their tenure.
President Tinubu’s Charge:
President Tinubu urged the new ministers to dedicate themselves to serving the nation, emphasizing the critical role they play in addressing Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.
Background:
The new appointments fill vacancies created by the dismissal of five previous ministers about two weeks ago. The Senate confirmed the new ministers after a thorough screening process.
