President Tinubu Visits Maiduguri to Condole with Flood Victims

 

 

President Ahmed Bola Tinubu arrived in Maiduguri to offer condolences to the government and people of Borno State following the devastating Alau Dam flood disaster. He was received by Governor Babagana Zulum.

 

During his visit, President Tinubu paid a courtesy call on the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar-Garbai El-Kanemi. He also visited one of the 36 camps established by the Borno Government to support thousands of displaced persons.

 

The flood has had a catastrophic impact on Maiduguri city, resulting in loss of lives, extensive property damage, and displacement of thousands of residents. The Borno Government has opened 36 camps to provide relief and support to those affected.

 

President Tinubu’s visit demonstrates his commitment to supporting affected communities and addressing the humanitarian crisis caused by the flood.
