The Enugu State Police Command has apprehended seven male suspects for their alleged involvement in armed robbery. According to SP Daniel Ndukwe, the Command’s spokesperson, the suspects were arrested by detectives attached to the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department.
The suspects, aged between 20 and 32, were allegedly involved in the robbery of residents of Ibagwa-Nike, Enugu, on February 3 and 6, 2025. The arrests led to the recovery of firearms, ammunition, machetes, and stolen items, including SIM cards, identity cards, clothes, and supplement drugs.
The suspects, who confessed to the crime, will be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded. The Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, urged residents to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and supportive of the police in reducing crime in Enugu State.
