Travellers leaving Borno State for other parts of Nigeria have expressed frustration over the scarcity of vehicles and increased transport costs.

Details:

  1.  Travellers at Borno Express and Tashan-Kano Park in Maiduguri complained about the lack of vehicles to convey them to their destinations.
  2. Some travellers reported waiting for over 4 hours without finding a bus.
  3. The cost of air tickets has increased, making road travel the only affordable option.

Travellers’ Experiences:

  1. Olaitan Abey, a traveller, said he had been waiting for over 4 hours without finding a bus and was considering following a truck to Yobe.
  2. Blessing Jeremiah, another traveller, reported that park officials instructed them to wait for vehicles coming from Abuja.
  3. John Nda, a traveller from Tashan-Kano Park, said he opted for road travel due to the high cost of air flights.
