Scores of foreigners were arrested in Osun State, Nigeria, during a raid by security operatives, who suspected them of undergoing terrorist training. The arrest was made possible by intelligence gathered by the Department of Security Services (DSS), which raided parts of Ijesaland.
According to a security source, those arrested had no valid residential permits and couldn’t explain their stay in the country and state. The Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, confirmed the arrest of 100 foreigners in the state.
