TikTok Removes 2.1 Million Videos by Nigerian Users in Q3 2024

 

TikTok has removed 2.1 million videos posted by Nigerian users in the third quarter of 2024 for violating its content policy.

Key Highlights:

  1.  Content Removals: 147.8 million videos were removed globally for violating TikTok’s policies.
  2.  Top 50 Countries: Nigeria was among the top 50 countries where videos violating TikTok’s policies emanated from.
  3.  Account Removals: 214.8 million accounts were removed, including 187.3 million fake accounts and 24.3 million accounts suspected to be owned by users under 13.
  4.  Comment Removals: 1.3 billion comments were removed from videos.
  5. Ad Removals: 1.9 million ads were removed for violating TikTok’s advertising policies.
