A two-storey building collapse in Kano’s Fagge Local Government Area has resulted in the deaths of two children, with their parents injured. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the incident, which occurred at Noman’s Land Quarters.
NEMA Coordinator, Dr. Nuraddeen Abdullahi, stated that the agency received a distress call at 2:00 a.m. and promptly sent a rescue team to the scene. The team rescued four persons, including the deceased children and their parents, who were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing to rescue trapped persons in the building. The Kano State Fire Service, Police, Red Cross, NSCDC, SEMA, and other agencies are part of the rescue team.
