A devastating auto crash along the Akure-Ondo highway in Ondo state has claimed the lives of two students from the Federal Polytechnic, Ile Oluji. Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola were riding a motorcycle when a Toyota car reportedly crushed them, resulting in instant death.
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has expressed deep sadness over the loss, extending condolences to the families, friends, and classmates of the deceased. The association described the incident as a “devastating loss for the student community of Ondo State.”
The Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, Prince Oriade Wellington Adebawo, commiserated with the families and condemned the reckless driving that led to the accident. He emphasized the importance of caution on the roads and urged drivers to be more vigilant and take necessary safety precautions to prevent such avoidable accidents.
