Tragedy Strikes OOU: Three Students Die in Road Crash

 

A devastating road accident occurred on Friday along the Ilisan-Ago-Iwoye road, claiming the lives of three students from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.

Details of the Accident:

  1.  The incident happened at about 3:30 pm on Friday.
  2. A commercial Opel Safira vehicle, driven by Adekunkle Adebiyi, lost control while traveling at high speed.
  3.  The vehicle flipped into the bush, resulting in the immediate death of one male passenger.
  4.  Two female students, Dada Oluwanifesimi (18) and Miracle Ogo Oluwa Daniel (19), were rushed to a private hospital but succumbed to their injuries.

Victims’ Information:

  1.  Dada Oluwanifesimi, 18, a sophomore in Mass Communication.
  2.  Miracle Ogo Oluwa Daniel, 19, a junior.

Injuries and Aftermath:

  1. Two other OOU students sustained critical injuries and are receiving medical care at the OOU Medical Centre.
  2. The accidented vehicle has been recovered and is being stored safely at the police station.

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the incident, and an investigation is likely to follow.
