Two suspected ritualists have been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command for the brutal murder of a 10-year-old boy, identified as Abdalla Lawali, in the Jada Local Government Area of the state.
According to a statement from the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the suspects, Ibrahim Abdul Malik (27) and Aliyu Abdul Malik (18), both from Anguwan Sarkin Yamma, Jada, were found to have committed the heinous crime. Lawali, who had been missing since March 7, 2025, was beheaded, and his body was recovered in a decomposed state within a sack. His severed head was later discovered buried in a shallow grave at the suspects’ residence.
Upon arrest, the duo confessed to the murder, claiming they were influenced by evil forces. The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, condemned the act and ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution. He urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to the authorities.
This tragic event highlights ongoing concerns about violent crimes in the region and the need for heightened security and community awareness to prevent such atrocities.
