VeryDarkMan to Testify Before House of Representatives Over EFCC Bribery Allegations

Social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, is set to appear before the Nigerian House of Representatives on Monday, September 30, 2024, to address bribery allegations involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The controversy stems from an audio recording where crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, allegedly claimed to have bribed EFCC officials with N15 million to drop a money laundering case against him.

Bobrisky also claimed his godfather arranged for him to serve his six-month jail sentence in a private apartment instead of Kirikiri Prison in Lagos.

Investigation and Summonses

The House of Representatives has summoned:

– VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse)

– Bobrisky (Idris Okuneye)

– EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede

as part of a broader investigation into the matter.

VeryDarkMan’s legal representative, Deji Adeyanju, confirmed his client’s appearance before the National Assembly Investigative Panel.

“We will assist in investigations into allegations by Bobrisky that he paid N15m to have money laundering charges dropped by EFCC and also bribed prison officials to stay in an apartment,” Adeyanju tweeted.

The investigation aims to unravel the truth behind the bribery allegations and potential corruption within the EFCC and Nigerian Correctional Service.
