A 19-year-old woman, Fatimo Agboke, has been accused of fatally stabbing her neighbour’s son, Faroul Azeez, during a confrontation in the Ijegun area of Lagos State.
The incident occurred on September 9, 2024, around 9:20 p.m. Agboke allegedly grabbed a broken bottle and stabbed the 20-year-old victim in the neck, resulting in his death.
The suspect has been arrested and detained, and an investigation is underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, the victim was stabbed during an argument with the suspect, and attempts to rush him to the hospital were unsuccessful.
The corpse has been deposited at Mainland General Hospital in Yaba for autopsy. This incident is the latest in a series of violent confrontations in Lagos State, highlighting concerns about safety and security in the region.
